CEREC® stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or Ceramic Reconstruction. Rather than using messy goop to take impressions and sending them to a dental laboratory to be created, CEREC® uses computer-aided design and manufacturing technology (CAD/CAM) to design, fabricate and place restorations chairside in a single visit.
